Education/Research: Lesson Plans
We know that one of most valuable commodities to teachers is time, or the lack of time for planning. Working with numerous teachers across Washington State we have developed, and classroom tested, a variety of WWII lesson plans for you to use. Although History class is our main focus we have also created plans for English, Social Studies, and Geography.
The lesson plans are centered on the new video When We Were Kids...We Went to War and During the War Women Went to Work..., that was produced for the Washington State Office for the Superintendent of Public Instruction and the Washington State WWII Memorial Educational Foundation. OSPI is delivering copies of the video to all the public schools in Washington State so you should not have to purchase a copy for your classroom.
For your convenience we have provided you with the lesson plans as downloadable Acrobat documents.
