Welcome to WWII Voices in the Classroom

About WWII Voices in the Classroom
WWII Voices in the classroom is a project that was started in 1998 by a group of WWII veterans in Washington State. They wanted to present the personal side of WWII in their own words before they passed away.

In this educational website you will find: two complete documentaries, video and audio clips, transcripts, photographs, lesson plans, and a variety of "how to" videos for producing your own oral histories and multimedia projects using these source materials. All of the materials on this site are copyright cleared for usage in educational projects.

As the producer of this project I had the pleasure and honor of gathering over 400 hours of personal stories of people from all walks of life that were a part of the WWII generation. My promise to them was that I would not let their histories end up on a shelf collecting dust. I hope I have presented their stories in a way that makes them easily accessible to you and does honor to them.

May we never forget the sacrifices of the men, women, and children of the WWII generation.
